The NCV7357 CAN transceiver is the interface between the controller area network (CAN) protocol controller and the physical bus. The transceiver provides a differential transmit function for the bus and a differential receive function for the CAN controller. The NCV7357 is a new addition to the family of CAN high-speed transceivers and complements the NCV7344 CAN standalone transceiver and its predecessors such as the AMIS42665, AMIS3066x. The NCV7357 guarantees additional timing parameters to ensure robust communication at data rates exceeding 1 Mbps to meet CAN flexible data rate requirements (CAN FD). With these features, the NCV7357 is an excellent choice for all types of HS?CAN networks in nodes where only basic CAN functionality is required.
