The MC74ACT640 Octal Bus Transceiver is suitable for asynchronous bidirectional communication between data buses. The device transfers data from Bus A to Bus B when T/R is high and from Bus B to Bus A when T/R is low. An enable input can be used to disable the device, effectively isolating the bus.
