The NCV4269C is a 5.0 V precision micropower regulator with an output current of 150 mA. The output voltage accuracy range is ±2.0%, with a maximum drain voltage of 0.5 V at 100 mA. One of these features is the low quiescent current of only 125 µA at a 1.0 mA load. This part is suitable for all battery powered microprocessor devices. Microprocessor control logic includes a delayed active reset output RO and an SI/SO monitor that can be used to provide an early warning signal to the microprocessor of a potential impending reset signal. Thanks to the SI/SO supervisor, the microprocessor can complete any signal processing before the reset shuts down the microprocessor. Active-reset circuitry operates down to output voltages as low as 1.0 V. The reset function is activated if the output voltage drop exceeds specified limits during power supply start-up or during normal operation. An external resistor divider can be connected to the RADJ lead to lower the reset threshold voltage. A voltage regulator protects against battery reverse, short circuit and thermal overload conditions. The device can withstand load dump transients and is suitable for use in automotive environments. The device is also optimized for EMC conditions.
