The NCP43080 is a synchronous rectifier controller for switch mode power supplies. The controller enables energy-efficient designs for flyback, quasi-resonant flyback, and LLC topologies. An externally adjustable minimum switching interval period provides the flexibility to drive various MOSFET encapsulation types and PCB layouts. Reliable low-noise operation of the SR system is guaranteed due to the self-synchronization function. The NCP4308 also utilizes the Kelvin connection of the driver to the MOSFET for high efficiency operation at full load. The driver's precise turn-off threshold, very low turn-off delay time, and high sink current capability enable the longest synchronous rectification MOSFET turn-on time. This high accuracy driver and 5V gate clamp make it ideal for directly driving GaN devices. To provide greater flexibility in PCB layout, this product is available in two versions. NCP4308 has no LLD function, NCP43080 has LLD function

The NCP1360 provides a novel solution aimed at achieving output power levels from a few watts to 20 W in general power supply flyback applications. Thanks to a new approach, this new controller eliminates the need for an auxiliary feedback circuit (optocoupler and TL431 reference) while achieving excellent line and load regulation. The NCP1360 operates in a valley-lock quasi-resonant peak current control mode at high loads to provide high energy efficiency. When auxiliary side power starts to disappear, the controller will automatically adjust the duty cycle, then at lower loads, the controller goes into pulse frequency modulation with a fixed peak current through valley switching detection. This technique allows output regulation to be maintained under small dummy loads. Valley lockout in the first 4 valleys prevents valley skipping operation, then valley switching at lower loads provides high energy efficiency.
