Li-ion protection for accurate cell-by-cell voltage monitoring 8-WSON -40 to 85

This low-drainage (LDO) linear regulator is based on a user-adjustable output range of 1.25 V to 5.0 V, or can deliver up to 500 mA at fixed output voltages of 1.5 V, 3.3 V, or 5.0 V, with a typical output accuracy greater than 3%. An internal PNP pass transistor enables low drain voltage and full load current operation at the lowest input voltage. The NCV version is certified for demanding automotive applications requiring extended temperature ranges and lengths as well as variation control. The NCP5500 and NCV5500 versions include an enable/shutdown feature with DPAK 5 and SOIC 8 encapsulation. The NCP5501 and NCV5501 versions feature DPAK 3 encapsulation for applications that do not require logic on/off control. This family of regulators is suitable for applications requiring a wide input voltage range, low leakage voltage performance at loads up to 500 mA, and the use of low cost ceramic capacitors. Integrated protection features include short-circuit current and high-temperature shutdown.
