The NCP1252 controller provides everything needed to build a cost-effective and reliable AC-DC switching power supply dedicated to ATX power supplies and any forwarding application. Due to the use of an internal fixed timer, the NCP1252 can detect output overload without relying on the auxiliary Vcc. An undervoltage input provides protection against low input voltages, increasing converter safety. Finally, SOIC-8 encapsulation saves PCB space and is the preferred solution for cost-sensitive projects.

Additional features include low quiescent current sleep mode and externally synchronizable switching frequency.
