The VHC32 is an advanced high-speed CMOS 2-input OR gate fabricated in a silicon-gate CMOS process. It achieves high-speed operation similar to an equivalent bipolar Schottky TTL while maintaining CMOS low power consumption. This internal circuit consists of 4 stages including buffered outputs that provide high noise immunity and stable output. An input protection circuit ensures that 0V to 7V is applied to the input pins regardless of the supply voltage. This device can be used as an interface between a 5V system and a 3V system as well as between the two power systems such as battery backup. This circuit prevents damage to the device due to mismatched supply and input voltages.
